Service Description

Whether you are looking for more ease, patience, energy, perseverance, courage, flexibility or harmony in your life, you will find it by approaching life in a gentle, non-judgmental way. Gentle Yoga will help support your intention by inviting you to fully immerse yourself in the moment without attachment to outcome. It is only when we let go of gripping that we experience a sense of freedom and lightness. Once we open ourselves up to whatever may come, anchored in a powerful belief that we already have all that we need, we begin to notice our deep desires start to manifest in our lives in unexpected ways. There is immense source of strength and wisdom within each of us that we can learn how to tap into through the steady practice of yoga. In a typical Gentle Yoga class you will experience mindfulness practice, gentle breathing exercises, static and dynamic movement through passive yin and active yang postures, vinyasa (linking breath with movement) and meditation. Flow between postures is slower paced and the use of props encouraged. The undercurrent of practice is compassion towards oneself and others, and ethical principles of yoga (Yamas and Niyamas) as well as other themes from yoga philosophy are often woven into the teaching.
